THE LAST REMAINING WARSHIP FROM THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND 1916

START THE BUILD AS OTHERS WITH PLAN SHEETS MADE AND LINED UP

IN THIS MODEL I USED A STOCK HULL FROM MY COLLECTIONS

THE UPPER WORKS ARE EXTRUDED FROM THE DECK PLAN

THE FUNNELS AND GUNS ARE FROM MY PRE-MADE STOCK ITEMS

WHEN BUILDING THE HIDE TOOL CAN BE USED TO HIDE THE PLANS

IN THIS IMAGE THE DECK TEXTURE HAS ALSO BEEN ADDED

HERE THE PLANS HAVE BEEN UN-HIDDEN TO MAKE MORE DETAILS ON THE MODEL

PART OF THE MAST WAS PRE-MADE SO NOW A COPY OF THE FULL MAST IS ADDED TO MY STOCKS

 

AGAIN THE PLANS ARE HIDDEN

THIS IS USEFUL FOR PLACEMENT OF OBJECTS AND AN OVERVIEW OF PROGRESS

THE PLANS ARE UN-HIDDEN TO FINISH THE FOREMAST

THE BRIDGE IS STARTED AND OTHER FITTINGS ADDED SUCH AS SHIPS BOATS

THE PLANS HIDDEN AGAIN WHILE DETAIL WORK WAS DONE ON THE BRIDGE

SOME AFT STRUCTURE IS MADE AS IS THE AFT MAST

THE ANCHORS ARE ADDED

MORE WORK DONE ON AFT SEARCHLIGHT AND AFTER CONN PLATFORMS

MORE DECK FITTINGS AND HATCHES ARE ADDED

SO MANY OF THESE THINGS ARE THE SAME ON MANY DIFFERENT SHIPS

 

THE AFT GUNS HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE

ALSO NOTE THE SCUTTLES (PORTHOLES) ARE BEING ADDED

HERE THE DECK HOUSING SCUTTLES AND DOORS HAVE BEEN ADDED
